The Hunger Games, my favorite read of 2011, is coming to the big screen!  With a release date of March 24, viewers can become  members of the District 12 society with Katniss, Peeta, and Gale on their journey towards the Hunger Games.  This movie is sure to be one of the blockbusters of 2012 as it is already getting much hype and press.  Our library has copies of The Hunger Games trilogy so stop in to get the books because you know…the book is always better than the movie!

Tagxedo turns words such as famous speeches, website pages, articles, research results and even love letters into beautiful artistic word clouds.  You can submit your words via test, URL, or blog address then choose your color, theme, shape, and general orientation to create your image.  You can also view their gallery to see word clouds that others have done.  At left is a quick example of a tagxedo I created for the PPBHS Media Center using this website’s homepage URL.  Below you can see images that were posted to the gallery by users.  Enjoy!
